I have also had the privilege of working with academics in the arts, humanities, and social sciences on papers, journal articles, PhD theses/dissertations, and books.
I have edited books published by Bloomsbury, Oxford University Press, and De Gruyter, among others.

“I love working with Ariane. Not only is she an exceptional proofreader, she is so nice to work with – always polite, professional, and so kind. Since she is the first person to see my newsletter drafts, her positive comments give me the courage I need to actually send it!”
Monique Stevens, entrepreneur and coach
“We are on opposite sides of the globe, but it feels like we are working almost simultaneously. She is a reliable business partner and with her help I have been able to publish many papers.”

My Services

Fundamental: Proofreading
What’s the difference between a semi-colon and a colon? Spaces in weird places? Prepositions proving problematic? Proofreading encompasses checking spelling, grammar, and syntax — accuracy is key!

Standard: Line-editing (plus proofreading)
How’s your phrasing? Want to make sure every sentence flows and sounds natural? Are you a foreign speaker concerned about fluency? Want to ensure your emphasis is in the right place? Line-editing ticks/checks all of those boxes, analyzing internal sentence structure and flow.

Ultimate: Structural editing, plus proofreading and line-editing
Structure giving you grief? Paragraph placement causing pain? In-depth structural editing looks at the overall flow of the text.
